đ Just had a blast at the Atherton Library's Microbit workshop! đŽ We coded our own Space Invaders game using Microbit circuit boards and iPads. đ
đž The Microbit is a tiny, but powerful, board for coding and electronics. It's perfect for beginners and pros alike! đĄ
Here's how it went down:
1ī¸âŖ Learned the Basics: We kicked things off with a quick intro to Microbit. đ¤ It's amazing how this little board can do so much!
2ī¸âŖ Coding Fun: Using iPads, we dived into the coding part. 𧊠It was surprisingly easy thanks to a drag-and-drop interface. No coding experience required!
3ī¸âŖ Unleashed Creativity: Our inner game designers came out. đ We customized our spaceships, invaders, and backgrounds, making our games one-of-a-kind.
4ī¸âŖ Champion Debuggers: Not everything went smoothly, but that's part of the fun! We learned to spot and fix errors in our code, building problem-solving skills.
5ī¸âŖ Game On!: Finally, we got to play our creations. đšī¸ The thrill of navigating our spaceships to defeat the invaders was priceless.
The best part? We can continue coding on microbit.org. They've got tutorials, resources, and more!
