In this hands-on workshop, students will build a magnetic "butterfly trainer" that uses the power of magnets to create the illusion of a butterfly learning to fly. Using simple materials, they'll discover how magnetic fields can produce movement and experiment with different designs to achieve the smoothest, most realistic motion.
As they build and test their creations, students will investigate how magnets attract and repel, explore the science behind magnetic fields, and refine their designs through experimentation. They'll discover that small adjustments can have a big impact on how their butterfly moves.
