Can you use redstone to turn Minecraft into a musical instrument?
Throughout October, jump into the October Challenge world on the STEMCraft Minecraft server and put your redstone skills to the test. Your challenge is to use redstone and note blocks to design and build a musical creation.
Experiment with note blocks, repeaters and redstone circuits to control pitch, rhythm and timing. Build a familiar tune, create something completely original, or see just how elaborate you can make your musical machine.
You can enter the challenge world at any time during October and work on your creation at your own pace.
On Saturday 24 October from 4:00pm to 5:00pm, we'll also come together online for a dedicated challenge workshop. We'll explore how note blocks and redstone work, share ideas, troubleshoot circuits and spend some time building together in the challenge world.
